Copenhagen apartment near Amager shopping center
Welcome inside a very charming and authentic Copenhagen home. The 100 year old apartment has been carefully restored so both the original stucco ceilings and wooden floors appears beautifully. The apartment is usually inhabited by a family with two small children, is therefore very family-friendly and best suited to accommodate couples and families with children. The property has a spacious and cozy kitchen. If you don not wish to spend your vacation in the kitchen, you can order or pick up food from the outside through the many Takeaways on Holmbladsgade and Amagerbrogade street. There is a kiosk, a florist, hairdresser, bakery and pastry shop in the building and pizzeria, liquor store and greengrocer around the corner. Enjoy the evening sun and the coffee in the lush green courtyard on the benches or in one of the large family hammocks. The residence is located on the 2nd floor with bay window overlooking the street and cemetery. At the end of the street is a shopping center, Amager, and below ground is the metro with quick connection to the city center, the Bella Center and the airport. The apartment is original and cozy, there are 4 large rooms distributed with sleeping possibilities in 3 of them and living room in 4th. There is a small toilet and a bathroom with shower.

Pleasant apartment within walking distance of the city centre. Excellent accommodation just outside Copenhagen city centre but easily accessible either on foot (about 20 minutes) or bike, or there is a Metro stop just over the road which gets you into the centre in about 5 minutes and which also links to the airport in about ten minutes. We were a couple and a teenage boy, but you could sleep four if you also had a younger child. Our host was frendly, there when we arrived and back on time to return the deposit and say goodbye. The area itself (Amager) has plenty of shops and restaurants including a delicious bakery at the end of the street and a supermarket next to the Metro. Its close to Christiania which is the semi-autonomous hippy settlement which is interesting if you want to see a different side of the city. Copenhagen itself is easy to get around - once youre in the centre pretty much everything is walkable. The only negative thing is that its fairly expensive - but having said that, you can find reasonably priced good food if you do your research.

The apartment has a friendly atmosphere as we like. Beds were good. The apartment is close to the metro and a visit to the city is very convenient and easy to get to and from the airport. There are also good bus connections into the city. Bakery, grocery, Irma and Føtex are two minutes from the apartment. Restaurants with different price range are nearby. I can recommend the apartment to others.

Charming apartment in convenient location. Four of us--two parents and two older teenagers-- stayed at this apartment for a week in June. It is very conveniently located near Metro and bus stops, and has a bakery and small grocery stores nearby, with a large street with lots of shops and cafes and restaurants right around the corner. On some mornings we woke up to the strong aroma of fresh pastries baking--how amazing is that! The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood (near a cemetery park--amazing how well maintained the Danish cemeteries are!) and the apartment building is older and very charming. It is a three story walk up that is actually two flats that have been made into one, so the floor plan is a bit odd but there are 3 bedrooms, a large dining room with some lounging space and a TV, and one bath with a separate shower. The kitchen is a good size for European apartments and had everything we needed. It looks out over a shared courtyard, so you can watch Danes in their daily lives! We really enjoyed our stay here, but the landlord, Ane, is very hands off, and we were a bit miffed that the apartment lacked some basic essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. When we asked about it, she told us we had to go out and supply it ourselves. Not sure if this is de rigueur, but when paying more than $1000 for a week, it seemed like these basic essentials would be provided. The other thing worth noting is that two of the bedrooms are actually childrens bedrooms, with one of them having a loft bed. My teen didnt mind the loft, but other adults might not like to climb a ladder for sleeping. We prefer more friendly hosts, but the apartment itself is very satisfactory and I would stay there again if I couldnt find something in Vesterbro!

Cosy, warm and practical. A real family apartment. Wifi worked fine. The host-lady was in place to give us help with all practical things. More room than what we expected.

We had a good time in Copenhagen. The apartment is charming and better than we thought before. The pictures at the homepage show only a part of the apartment and give not the right impression of the nice flat. The location is very good, Metro and two busses are nearby. All what you need is in the neighbourhood. It would be fine to have a machine to make coffee. The owner is very friendly and the contact was easy and reliable.
